The rosehip is the reddish, slightly astringent fruit of Rosa canina. It is wildly known for its high vitamin C content and also for its many therapeutic properties. Rosehip berries are mainly used as an ingredient of herbal teas or homemade marmalades. When it is dried and finely ground, rosehip makes perfect powder that gives a particularly high nutritional density to the food prepared with it. It could be also added to food suppliment and beauty formulas.
Rosehip powder contains pectin which aids digestion, reduces cramps and bloating. It is also rich in flavonoids, known for their high antioxidant activity.
