All the most important BIOFACH Congress facts and figures
THE knowledge transfer and networking event of the organic world
In 2017, the BIOFACH Congress will once again revolve around practice-oriented topics and helpful, fact-based conversations. From 15 to 18 February 2017, the organic world will meet again in Nuremberg to discuss important topics, learn from each other and pass on knowledge at the congress that takes place at the same time as BIOFACH, the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Organic Food.
If you would like to use the BIOFACH Congress to hold sales, product or company presentations (advertising), you can register an exhibitor’s presentation here. The content and structure of your exhibitor’s presentations are entirely up to you. You will be charged a room usage fee. You will find more information here:
Everyone is welcome to submit suggestions for the BIOFACH Congress. There are no fees for taking part as a speaker at the congress.
Please note: On multiple request the deadline has been extended! New closing date for submissions is Monday, 26 September 2016.
Congress events do not need to be registered for separately and are free of charge for trade fair visitors and exhibitors.
Selected presentation content and discussion results related to the focal theme “Diversity and responsibility for our one world” will be documented in cooperation with IFOAM - Organics International in what will be known as the Congress Digest. The aim here is to create a content synthesis that can be made available in written form after the trade fair for the press and public relations work. The hosts of the selected focal theme events will be available for the Congress Digest editorial meeting from 15:00 to 16:00 on Friday, 17 February 2017, to help with the drafting of the Congress Digest. Following consultations, abstracts will be made available before the meeting.
The congress begins on Wednesday, 15 February 2017, and ends on Friday, 17 February 2017. The Forum Fachhandel will continue until Saturday, 18 February 2017.
Congress speakers will receive free admission for the duration of the trade fair, access to the VIP Lounge and an entrance ticket for the exhibitors’ evening on Friday, 17 February 2017. The individual congress events will be published with their titles and speakers on the Internet and in the congress programme free of charge. BIOFACH will provide rooms with the required equipment (row seating, a lectern (without a notebook), presentation tables and a projector) assistance from the congress hostesses free of charge. Travel expenses, accommodation costs and other fees will not be paid. If you have any queries, please contact Mildred Steidle at Organic Services: send enquiry
The BIOFACH Congress programme will be published on the website in December 2016. A printed version will also be released shortly before the trade fair and congress.
In 2017, the organic sector will be presented as a holistic social approach to development, with diversity and responsibility the main theme of the BIOFACH Congress. The industry’s players will be focusing on organic solutions for the future from global and local perspectives in a variety of ways. BIOFACH’s international patron, IFOAM - Organics International, and national supporting organisation, the German Federation of the Organic Food Industry (BÖLW), are joining forces with the trade fair to highlight this area.
