Although the retail trade is now offering organic food consumers a broad range of the most diverse organic olive oils, the potential has however not yet been exhausted, because the strong, consistent demand is continuing.
As one of the focal points at BIOFACH, the possible application scenarios for high-quality organic oils will be examined in the context of external catering – from the canteen and commercial kitchen through to top-class restaurant – in specialist presentations and practically-orientated tasting sessions. The health aspects in particular support arguments for its application in care-rehabilitation facilities and institutions.
This is what the trade visitors can expect at "Experience the World of OLIVE OIL" in hall 4 stand 4-149:
- The platform for the exchange of information and personal contacts with olive oil producers
- The sensory assessment of the “fruity”, “bitter” and “spicy” olive oil attributes
- The know-how required to distinguish between reputable olive oils of the highest “extra native” category and fake products, worthless in terms of taste and flavour
- The visitors’ selection of the best olive oils for the Olive Oil Award.
