Hygiene concept for BIOFACH / VIVANESS 2021
Status as of 22 July 2020
The hygiene concept for the reopening of trade fairs, congresses and exhibitions published by the Bavarian State Government on 23 June 2020 is the basis for our measure for the exhibition and congress site of NürnbergMesse. The hygiene concept for the BIOFACH / VIVANESS 2021 is your guideline so that you can make the necessary adjustments in the stand design and planning of your exhibition presence to meet the new requirements for extended hygiene standards, social distancing, and ensuring the traceability of contacts.
The current version of the BIOFACH/VIVANESS hygiene concept will be available for download from the beginning of august.
Safety guidance for exhibitors

The stand design must take into account the necessity of social distancing. This includes, for example, routing or avoiding bottlenecks. It is recommended to set up separate waiting areas. In the case of active presentation of exhibits or product demonstrations, we particularly recommend taking appropriate precautions (e.g. minimum distance from people, hygiene measures at the exhibit, allocation of time slots for presentations).
If you are unable to implement the measures with your stand size, please contact your contact persons in the exhibition team for an individual solution.
NürnbergMesse and the BIOFACH/VIVANESS event team are working together with experts, authorities, government officials and customers to develop a comprehensive package of measures for all trade fair participants that will meet the necessary general requirements of the pandemic. We are currently in the implementation planning phase and therefore ask for your patience until September before we can provide you with explicit information on your stand placement. In developing this concept, we are striving to ensure the health and safety of visitors and exhibitors while also preserving the special nature of BIOFACH/VIVANESS.
NürnbergMesse and the BIOFACH/VIVANESS event team are working together with experts, authorities, government officials and customers to develop a comprehensive package of measures for all trade fair participants that will meet the necessary general requirements of the pandemic. We are currently still in the planning phase and therefore ask for your patience before we can provide you with explicit information on your placement. Enlargement wishes are not automatically excluded. Please tell us your enlargement wishes directly with your registration or at email@example.com.
The visitor guidance system on the stand must ensure that the current minimum distance of 1.50 m between people can be maintained. Compliance with the distance regulations can be ensured, for example, by floor markings, room dividers or traffic light systems.
A minimum width of 2.00 m is recommended for aisles to ensure safe evasion.
The existing hygiene regulations must be observed. In the case of catering, above all the applicable regulations on social distance and the additional official requirements must be taken into account.
The NürnbergMesse service partners will be pleased to assist you if you have any queries.
Tasting is a key issue for BIOFACH/VIVANESS and plays an important role in the measures we are developing. The parameters for tasting are still in progress at the moment and we ask for your patience until autumn 2020. Naturally, we will be glad to listen to your suggestions and answer your questions on this subject.
As during the trade fair, assembly and dismantling are subject to registration. Persons are admitted to the exhibition halls by scanning. NürnbergMesse service providers regulate the number of persons in the halls and in the loading yards.
The official guidelines (social distancing, hygiene regulations) must be observed.
The rules of social distancing must also be observed for meeting areas. We recommend a maximum meeting size of eight people.
For stand construction, the use of smooth surfaces that are easy to clean is recommended. For furniture, for example, chairs without armrests reduce physical contact.
In sensitive areas such as reception or catering, where the number of contacts poses a particularly high risk of infection, we recommend additional safety measures such as partitions (e.g. made of acrylic glass) known from the retail trade to protect against droplet infection.
We recommend cleaning and disinfecting door handles, handrails and frequently used surfaces regularly (several times an hour). Please provide appropriate means of disinfection for exhibitors and visitors at your stand.
Process tracking at the exhibition stand
Our exhibitors are required to separately record the contact information of conversation partners (for conversations without face covering). NürnbergMesse is providing exhibitors with LeadSuccess, a lead tracking system, for this purpose.
Evening events and stand parties
According to the current situation, stand parties will not permitted during the trade fair, as the required social distancing guidelines cannot be enforced. The same applies to parties and exhibitor evenings at NürnbergMesse. We are confident that in case of a positive development of the infection, it will still be possible to organize stand parties / exhibitor evenings. We will keep you constantly informed.
