Reaction to BIOFACH 2015

lessThe Netherlands, the BIOFACH 2015 country of the year
Wolter Prins, sales manager, World Wide Cheese (GER)
“I was delighted to be part of the ‘little Dutch family’, which is what I call the Dutch pavilion. It was great to be the BIOFACH country of the year, and that really stoked interest in Dutch organic products. I even had buyers from Taiwan and Tahiti at our stand and am expecting good post-exhibition business. Of course, our reconnecting and communication with existing customers went well too. BIOFACH is the perfect platform for that.”
  lessVEGAN World of Experience
Christine Grotendiek, general manager, Tropicai (GER)
“We have been exhibiting at BIOFACH since 2006 and can say our company has grown and become more successful because of this trade fair. This year, however, the interest in our products was huge. On the first two days, we were nearly overrun with visitors. They all wanted to try our Sri Lankan coconut water. We put this popularity partly down to our appearance in the VEGAN World of Experience and at the Novelty Stand, two great special areas!”
  lessBIOFACH 2015 trend: Free From
Marta Ruszkiewicz, employee, MyEy (GER)
“BIOFACH is simply the perfect platform for acquiring new business contacts and maintaining relations with existing customers in the organic industry. We were particularly pleased to be able to connect with so many large-scale processors who were interested in our egg replacement products. The demand for free-from products is growing all the time. That was confirmed in a number of discussions. We’re therefore expecting post-exhibition business to be good.”
lessSponsored pavilion for young innovative companies
Katrin Wolff, owner, Teufelswerk & Engelsgabe (GER)
“The exhibition is really well organised. As a small company, it’s great that we can be there as part of the young innovative companies pavilion. Unfortunately, we’ve not yet been able to use our contacts with international retailers and service providers, because we’re too small for the international marketing that would be required.”
  lessOther BIOFACH exhibitors
Andreas Vosseler, commercial manager, TOPAS (GER)
“Moving from hall 7 to hall 9 did mean our stand was quieter, but (potential) customers went out of their way specifically to find us. This meant high-quality discussions. We were able to advise a large number of natural food specialist stores and wholesale representatives, and let visitors try both our Wheaty classics and new Wheaty creations. We were particularly happy to receive visits from restaurateurs and large-scale caterers. We see a lot of potential for us in this area and also a demand for advice. As a meeting place for the organic industry, BIOFACH is unmatched by any other in the world, and we use the opportunity to have annual discussions with our customers from outside Germany.”
