With BIOFACH, the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Organic Food in Nuremberg, and another six events around the globe, BIOFACH World has been successfully connecting organic experts with one another for decades. While BIOFACH INDIA 2019 ensured a successful end to the year, the World’s Leading Trade Fair in Nuremberg is already in the starting blocks in February 2020. With another two fairs in Japan and China this the spring, BIOFACH World will have an eventful start to the new decade.

BIOFACH INDIA

203 exhibitors and more than 7,000 visitors from over 40 countries was the tally after three busy days at the India Expo Centre, IEML, in Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR. The 11th round of BIOFACH INDIA once again proved to be the must-do event for the organic sector in India. The show is organised and operated by NürnbergMesse India in partnership with APEDA, India’s Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority. The trade visitors included many high-ranking government representatives, certification agencies and renowned international organic associations, who joined forces to strengthen the Indian organic movement. Other highlights of the event that attest to the dynamic development of the organic sector in India were the 80-member “International Buyers Delegation”, state and national pavilions from Germany, Russia and India, and the “Organic Farmers’ Market” including conference. Sonia Prashar, CEO NürnbergMesse India, sums it up aptly: “The excellent figures for exhibitors, visitors and partners speak for themselves. The endeavours of all stakeholders and partners have elevated the brand to a new level. It is no longer just an exhibition but a strong platform for knowledge transfer.”

BIOFACH, Nuremberg

The international organic sector will gather at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg in February when BIOFACH, the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Organic Food, opens its doors. The annual start-of-year gathering for the sector is set to welcome some 3,500 exhibitors from around 100 countries. Thanks to the addition of two extra halls (7A and 3A), the next round of the fair will have even more room to display the diversity of the organic food segment. In 2020, the main congress theme “Organic delivers!” will put a spotlight on the positive effects of organic production methods, while the new network hub and special show “Water: is the basis of life endangered?” explores another highly topical issue. In addition, the start of the combined BIOFACH and VIVANESS event is a highlight in itself, when Dr Jane Goodall, Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE), primate researcher, environmental activist and UN Messenger of Peace will deliver the keynote address at the official opening.

Save the date: The 31st round of BIOFACH will take place in Nuremberg from12 - 15 February 2020.

BIOFACH JAPAN

At the 45th round of FOODEX JAPAN in March at the Makuhari Exhibition and Convention Centre in Chiba outside Tokyo, the food and beverage industry will take centre-stage. It is in this setting that BIOFACH JAPAN 2020 will celebrate its return in the shape of the BIOFACH JAPAN Pavilion at FOODEX JAPAN. A total of 14 exhibitors, including companies from Egypt, Germany, France, Italy and Pakistan, will extend the range of organic products on display at Asia’s largest food and beverage trade fair. The exclusive pavilion will give the expected 85,000 or so trade visitors the opportunity to get to know certified organic products from all around the world and establish contacts for the booming organic sector in the Asian market.

Save the date: The 16th round of BIOFACH JAPAN will take place from 10 - 13 March 2020 as the BIOFACH JAPAN Pavilion at FOODEX JAPAN in Chiba, Tokyo.

BIOFACH CHINA

With its innovative trade fair concept, packed supporting programme and strong new partner, BIOFACH CHINA impressed more than 18,000 visitors from all over the world in 2019. In 2020, the event will once again deliver exciting inspiration and put the spotlight on various issues including vegan food and the vegan movement in China.  

Save the date: The 14th round of BIOFACH CHINA will take place in Shanghai from 13 - 15 May 2020.

BIOFACH AMERICA LATINA

Save the date:  The 16th round of BIOFACH AMERICA LATINA – BIO BRAZIL FAIR will be held from 17 - 20 June 2020 at the Anhembi Exhibition Centre in São Paulo.

BIOFACH SOUTH EAST ASIA

Save the date: The 3rd round of BIOFACH SOUTH EAST ASIA will take place in July 2021 at the IMPACT Exhibition Center in Bangkok, Thailand.

BIOFACH AMERICA

Next time round, BIOFACH AMERICA will relocate from Baltimore to Philadelphia along with the Natural Products Expo East. Markus Reetz, Executive Director International Exhibitions at NürnbergMesse, is looking forward to this premiere in the second-largest city on the east coast of the USA. “The move to Philadelphia offers us unique opportunities to expand the organic industry gathering even further in the east of the USA. We are already impressed by the huge potential offered by this metropolis with a population of millions.”

Save the date: The 18th round of BIOFACH AMERICA will be held from 24 - 26 September 2020 in the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
