Do I have to be a trade visitor to be able to visit BIOFACH?
Unfortunately, the exhibition is not open to the public on any day. BIOFACH is a pure trade fair, to which only trade visitors from the corresponding industries are admitted. This enables us to secure the quality of the offer for visitors and exhibitors.

Are children admitted to BIOFACH?
Infants and children under the age of 12 gain entrance to the fair free of charge. From the age of 13, a one-day ticket can be purchased at a reduced rate. Teenagers from the age of 16 have to prove their eligibility as trade visitors, e.g. as an apprentice in an admissible sector of economy.

As a visitor, you can have your children over three looked after in the exhibition nursery in NCC Mitte (room Basel). Trained childcare staff await your children and have lots of toys ready.
Can I bring my pet with me to BIOFACH?
At BIOFACH it is not allowed to bring pets for hygienic reasons, as it is a food fair. Guide dogs are, of course, an exception to this rule.
Can I bring a trolley or a carrying case with me to BIOFACH?
No, it is not allowed to bring your trolley case/roll along with you due to security reasons. There has been a steady increase in complaints from exhibitors, theft of exhibition goods and accidents in the gangways. You can leave your trolley case/roll along at our wardrobes (charge: EUR 1).
What address shall I enter in my navigation system?
You can simply enter "Nürnberg". The dynamic traffic guidance system will guide you past all the queues to a vacant parking space. Alternatively, please use the following address:"Karl-Schönleben-Strasse, 90471 Nürnberg" or the special destination "Messe".
Where can I find parking spaces? How much do these cost? Are there disabled parking spaces?
There are enough parking spaces on-site. Our parking guidance system guides you to the vacant parking spaces; the daily charge is EUR 9 during BIOFACH. You can receive information by telephone at +49 911 8606 0. Parking spaces for disabled people are located near the entrances.
Are there pitches for caravans?
Within walking distance of the exhibition centre, there is a camp site, at which exhibition visitors who come with a caravan can rent pitches. No caravans can be parked on the site of the exhibition centre Nuremberg itself.
Is there a shuttle service from the airport/Nuremberg Central Station to the exhibition centre?
No because you can reach the exhibition venue quickly and easily both from the Central Station and from the airport with public transport. You can find further information on this in our travel tips.
Are there lockers at the exhibition venue?
Yes, there are lockers in the Mitte, West and Ost entrance areas.
You can leave your items of luggage in the cloakroom. Cost: 1 EUR.
You can also leave your jacket/coat etc. in the cloakroom for no charge at any time.
Can I use WiFi at the exhibition venue?
As a visitor of BIOFACH, you are online free of charge throughout the exhibition venue.
We also offer high speed WiFi access for the sending and use of larger quantities of data. For EUR 5 per hour with minute-based billing or for a whole day for EUR 25, depending on your requirements.
Where can I find a restaurant at the exhibition venue?
In ourfloor plan , you can find the locations of cafés, restaurants and all the exhibition's other facilities.
Where can I charge my mobile at the exhibition venue?
You can use chargers in the Business Lounge between halls 4 and 5 for no charge.
Whom should I contact if I have lost something?
Please contact our colleagues from the Facility Service in the entrance area of Service Center Mitte.
Can I buy something at BIOFACH?
No, there are no direct sales.
Where can I get information about exhibitors and products?
In a digitalized world, online media is the most important source of information whilst preparing to visit a trade fair. The demand for printed catalogues has steadily decreased over the last few years. As such, and out of environmental consideration, we shall no longer publish a printed catalogue.

How do I get an entrance ticket for BIOFACH?
Advance sales take place online. Register and provide evidence of your eligibility in our TicketShop and purchase your entrance ticket in advance.
Of course, you can also purchase your entrance ticket on-site, upon presenting your proof of eligibility.
In many countries, the international representatives of NürnbergMesse are available for ticket sales, as well as for the provision of information about visas.
I am unable to print out my e-ticket. What can I do?
Please check the confirmation e-mail which you received automatically after purchasing your ticket. There you will find a link with which you can print your ticket once again.
Can I use the public transport in Nuremberg with my exhibition ticket?
Yes, you can use the public transport with your ticket. On your e-ticket, you can find the transport ticket which entitles you to use the Nuremberg local public transport network.
Tickets which are purchased on site at the entrance as well as vouchers do NOT include local public transportation.
Why does the online TicketShop close before the start of the exhibition?
The proof of eligibility must be checked manually. So that you can receive your ticket on time for BIOFACH, the ordering process must be completed a couple of days before the start of the exhibition.
I have received a voucher from an exhibitor – do I also have to prove my eligibility as a trade visitor?
The receipt of a voucher does not serve as proof of eligibility as a trade visitor. Here, you can receive an overview of the admission requirements: proof of eligibility.
Can I redeem my printed voucher on-site?
Yes, that is possible. Please bring your voucher with you to the exhibition and exchange it for an entrance ticket at the counters in the entrance area. Please do not forget the documents that prove your eligibility.
Can I redeem my electronic voucher code on-site?
No, this is only possible online in the VoucherShop.
Is my voucher (print voucher or electronic voucher code) valid for one or more days?
Your voucher is equivalent to a one-day ticket.
Why does the online VoucherShop close before the fair starts?
Every proof of eligibility is being checked manually - this may take some days. In order to ensure that the order can be processed in time and you receive your e-ticket, the online VoucherShop ends before the exhibition starts.
Where can I get a visa for my exhibition visit?
Please note the mail decree of the Federal Foreign Office of 24.07.2013:
In the future, you can generally dispense with the invitation letter from the exhibition companies in the accompanying documents for a visa application. Please clarify with the embassy / the consulate in your country whether an invitation letter from us is necessary.
