Preparations for the 2024 trade fair year are already in full swing. With a total of eight events in its portfolio, BIOFACH World provides an international presence for the organic sector. The next trade fairs are already in the starting blocks. The journey starts in Nuremberg in February with BIOFACH 2024.
BIOFACH in Nuremberg will kick off the BIOFACH World events for 2024. From 13 to 16 February 2024, the World’s Leading Trade Fair For Organic Food will bring together international representatives covering the entire value chain, both in the exhibition halls and online at BIOFACH digital. Once again, the aim is to experience the wide range of products from international exhibitors with all the senses. This year’s supporting programme has a number of highlights and innovations to offer, such as the first pavilion for international start-ups and the new HoReCa – GV and Gastro meeting point, with a special offer for representatives of the dining-out sector. The accompanying BIOFACH Congress also offers an extensive programme. The focus topic for 2024 is “Food for the Future: Women’s Impact on Sustainable Food Systems”.
VIVANESS, the International Trade Fair for Natural and Organic Personal Care, takes place in Nuremberg at the same time as BIOFACH.
Save the date: The 18th BIOFACH AMERICA LATINA – BIO BRAZIL FAIR will take place at the Anhembi Exhibition Centre in São Paulo from 12 to 15 June 2024.
BIOFACH CHINA took place from 19 to 21 September 2023 alongside NATURAL EXPO CHINA at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. It welcomed 10,500 visitors from 18 countries, including Mongolia, Vietnam, Russia, Germany, South Korea and Kazakhstan. Good discussions, a wide range of products and bustling activity filled the event area with life.
A collaborative arrangement between BIOFACH CHINA and Freshippo was announced as part of BIOFACH CHINA 2023. Freshippo actively promotes and advocates organic consumption in China. Together, the parties aim to open up a broader perspective for developing the organic sector at a local level.
Save the date: The 17th BIOFACH CHINA will take place alongside NATURAL EXPO CHINA at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from 13 to 15 June 2024.
The 15th edition of BIOFACH INDIA took place from 6 to 8 September 2023. Although the event was brought forward at the last minute because of the G20 summit (Delhi, 9-10 September), the event was a great success. Together with NATURAL EXPO INDIA and MILLETS INDIA, it brought together 5,500 visitors and around 200 exhibitors at the India Expo Mart (IEML), Greater Noida, Delhi NCR. The trade fair highlights included the Farmers Market, Aromatic Adventures at APEDA Pavilion and the extensive interactive lecture programme.
Save the date: The 16th BIOFACH INDIA will take place parallel to NATURAL EXPO INDIA and MILLETS INDIA at the India Expo Centre, IEML, Greater Noida in Delhi-NCR, in autumn 2024.
BIOFACH JAPAN is the oldest member of the BIOFACH World family and is finally happening again. It will take place together with the GOOD LIFE Fair at the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition venue from 25 to 27 October 2024. The GOOD LIFE Fair is a new trade fair format on lifestyle and sustainability topics, and is aimed at interested parties from the B2B and high-income B2C sectors. The 2024 event will be the third in the series, and it has already recorded encouraging growth in terms of exhibitors and visitors since its launch. The close proximity of BIOFACH to GOOD LIFE Fair offers participants ideal opportunities to establish and expand contacts with retailers and to engage in direct dialogue with Japanese consumers.
Save the date: The 18th BIOFACH JAPAN will take place in co-location with the GOOD LIFE Fair at the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition venue from 25 to 27 October 2024.The 2nd edition of BIOFACH SAUDI ARABIA was organized jointly with 1st Arabia Tradeshows & Conferences. It took place at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center (RICEC) from 19 to 21 November 2023. The newest member of the BIOFACH World family, it forms the organic hub of the MENA region. The trade fair is supported by the Ministry of Energy, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) and the Saudi Organic Farming Association (SOFA). For example, they organized a joint appearance by Saudi Arabian exhibitors at the trade fair. Thirteen other nations were also represented onsite. These included the official German pavilion, sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), which enabled eight German companies to participate onsite.
The accompanying congress programme covered both global and regional topics. Both MEWA and SOFA were significantly involved in developing the programme.
Save the date: The 3rd BIOFACH SAUDI ARABIA will take place in Riyadh from 11 to 13 November 2024.
The 20th edition of BIOFACH AMERICA took place from 21 to 23 September 2023 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia as part of Natural Products Expo East. Together, they attracted more than 1,000 exhibitors and around 16,000 representatives of the organic industry to the exhibition halls. Of these, a good 80% came from the retail, wholesale, manufacturing and industrial sectors. In addition to the wide range of organic products, innovations and trends, participants also discovered an interactive supporting programme. Highlights included the Matchmaking Lounges, the Harvest Festival and presentations by keynote speaker Jay Shetty and musician Brett Dennen.
Until September 2023, BIOFACH AMERICA was part of Natural Products Expo East in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Although New Hope, the organizer, announced the end of Expo East in September, this will not mean the end for BIOFACH AMERICA – there will still be a format in the US in the future!
