FAQs about the programme
The BIOFACH Congress will be held from 10–13 February 2026 at the Exhibition Centre (NCC East). In addition, there will be lecture programmes on several stages in the exhibition halls.
The congress programme is shaped by sector players for the sector. Each year in late summer (by the end of August), the Call for Ideas is published for the following year’s congress. The submission deadline is 6–8 weeks later. From the wide range of proposals, the final programme is selected and compiled.
Congress languages are German and English. Selected sessions will be simultaneously translated.
Sessions at the BIOFACH Congress last between 45 and 75 minutes, while sessions on the stages and special shows in the halls last between 30 and 60 minutes.
Selected sessions will be available after the event as recordings on the BIOFACH digital platform. Access is exclusively available to trade fair visitors and exhibitors and is included in the ticket price.
Via the Call for Ideas, everyone is invited to submit concrete proposals for the congress programme. The Call for Ideas will be published in August, and the submission deadline is 25th September 2025.
The Call for Ideas also invites proposals for the stages of Special Show Organic Out of Home (Hall 6), Experience the World of PLANETARY HEALTH (Hall 9), Experience the World of OLIVE OIL (Hall 4) and NextGen (Hall 9). Registration for participating in the Novelty Presentations or Start-Up Pitches on the INNOVATION STAGE will be possible from September via the Online ExhibitorShop.
Participation as an attendee in the congress and stage programme is included in the ticket price for visitors and exhibitors. Programme placements based on topic proposals submitted via the Call for Ideas are free of charge – no room or other fees apply. Participating speakers receive a free 4-day ticket for BIOFACH including parking permit. Travel and accommodation costs in Nuremberg are not reimbursable.
