How can BIOFACH continue to develop in a sustainable manner alongside the organic sector? With this central question in mind, BIOFACH invited key representatives from across the organic value chain to a BIOFACH Industry Roundtable at the Exhibition Center Nuremberg on 6 May 2026. The goal of the discussion was to generate ideas for an ecologically and economically resilient food system and to position the World’s Leading Trade Fair, BIOFACH, for the future.
Everyone involved agreed:
BIOFACH remains focused on organic products. It is taking on an even stronger leadership role in key areas of the food transition, such as plant-based diets and longevity. In addition, the stated goal is to further expand its international reach.
There was also consensus on the following: As a values-driven hub for organic and sustainable food, BIOFACH brings together people and companies that take responsibility. It connects visionaries and doers who are shaping the ecological and economic transformation. Ecology, economy, and social sustainability are consistently considered together. At the same time, BIOFACH sees itself as a driving force in making the future of food even more sustainable.
The results of the RoundTable serve as a key foundation for BIOFACH’s ongoing conceptual work. The insights gained will now be analyzed and refined in close consultation with the sector so that they can be incorporated into the further development of the event concept, including the 2027 edition. The event will take place from 16 to 19 February 2027, at the Exhibition Center Nuremberg.
